Student Visa Process
Australia Student VISA & ADMISSION
Studying in Australia as an international student offers a wealth of opportunities for academic growth and cultural immersion. However, before embarking on this exciting journey, it is essential to understand the process of obtaining a student visa and securing admission to an Australian educational institution. This guide provides an overview of the key steps involved, from selecting a course and institution to applying for a student visa and fulfilling the necessary requirements. By following this process diligently, you can ensure a smooth transition to your chosen academic pursuit in Australia and make the most of your educational experience in this vibrant country.
Admission & Visa Process
When aspiring to study in Australia, it is crucial to understand the admission and visa process. At Hive Education Group, we provide support to students throughout their journey, ensuring they meet the necessary requirements for entry into Australian educational institutions.
Once a student registers and submits all the essential documents, excluding the English test score, we initiate the application process for a Conditional Offer Letter from the chosen education provider. However, if the student already possesses a valid English test score, we can directly apply for an Unconditional Offer Letter.
The assessment of the application may take approximately 4-6 weeks, depending on the specific education provider. During this period, any outstanding documents may be requested if needed. Upon receiving the offer letter, the applicant is required to submit the necessary documents for the Streamline Visa Process (SVP).
Additionally, they need to provide financial documents to demonstrate the required amount of funds. The first semester fees are to be paid to the education provider, or as stipulated by the institution. Some institutions may require the payment of the full year’s tuition fees.
Once the SVP process is completed satisfactorily, the education provider issues the Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCOE), a crucial document for visa processing.
The application for the student visa is then submitted to the Department of Immigration & Border Protection, Australia. It is highly recommended to lodge the visa application at least 12 weeks before the orientation date at the educational institution.
Upon approval of the student visa, the applicant can make the necessary preparations to travel to Australia and commence their educational journey.
